Hi there

If you have used Microsoft Teams for a while you’ve noticed that Microsoft have been implementing features focused on used experience and I’d like to share a few with you.

Joining a Teams Meetings from Microsoft Teams client

Go to Microsoft Teams Client \ Calendar \

You should see the new calendar experience for users and if you hover the mouse over the scheduled meeting that you accepted you should be able to see the meeting Invitation there with Date, Time, Meeting Header (1), how many people are currently on the meeting at the moment you’re checking by (2) as well as current meeting time (3). Another option you have it’s the ability to chat with meeting participants (4) by clicking on “Chat with participants” link presented.

Chat with participants (after you did click on “Chat with participants” link presented on meeting invitation)

After you’ve joined he meeting you’ll the following experience

  1. Take control: if available you can take control of the session
  2. Hide participants: hide and show participants
  3. Show conversation: give you access to the chat area (conversation link we talked about previously)
  4. Raise your hand: allows you to show other participants that you need assistance
  5. More actions: gives you access a few other options such as device settings, meetings details, gallery mode and together mode (preview)
  6. Turn camera on/off: you can also apply background effects when you go live with video
  7. Mute / unmute: enable and disable your microphone during the meeting
  8. Share content (stop sharing): allows you to share desktop (monitor1, monitor2, etc.) and / or any individual application
  9. Raise your hand: raise your hand experience – how participants see it when you raise your hand
  10. Focus: enhance video experience for the content you’re seeing (being shared on screen) – you can zoom in and out by holding CTRL key with mouse scroll up/down

Together mode (Preview)
